Holiday Wreath Making with Springhouse Gardens

Holiday Wreath Making with Springhouse Gardens

I’m not usually a DIY gal but on Saturday I made my own wreath! It turned out pretty well and I would definitely do it again.

Rainy Forecast

We were a little worried starting out because the forecast was calling for a storm. Luckily, Richard from Springhouse Gardens buried bourbon. In case you haven’t heard of this theory, like me, burying the bourbon anywhere from a month or week ahead of an event has been said to hold off bad weather.

Wreath Making Tutorial

Richard explained the different types of foliage that were available for the wreaths. I forgot most of the names but I know Boxwood, Pine, and Juniper were there. Richard showed us how to make foliage bundles and how to situate them on the wreath. The directions were very clear and it was so easy and fun to make.

Photo Ops

I did this workshop with a group of my blogger friends and we had a blast making the wreaths. All of ours turned out looking great! I would believe that any of ours were made professionally. Which is not something I can usually say when I work on a DIY. I feel so accomplished and I love my wreath!
